1. Scope

1.1 This specification covers three grades of steel rivets in diameters from ½ to 1½ in. inclusive, for structural fabricating purposes. The grades are as follows:

Carbon steel rivets for general purpose use

Carbon manganese steel rivets for use with high strength carbon and high strength low alloy structural steels

Weathering steel rivets

1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.
